Branding, Identity, Website, SEO, Social Media for D'Arcy Wines
About the Client:
D'Arcy Wines is a celebrated wine merchants, based in Cheltenham. They have an established local and national customer base.
D'Arcy's previous ecommerce website had been created in 2009. The site was neither responsive nor mobile-friendly, and did not convey any real sense of identity or personality. In addition the site was running on an outdated CMS system which left it particularly vulnerable to hacking . There was no Social media strategy in place, and the client did was not making use of any sort of analytics data in their marketing.
We created a new brand identity for D'Arcy, based on an eccentric, British feel, with use of cartoons and quirky elements to reinforce the feel. The typefaces chosen were designed to reflect the feel of old wine bottles. The site is particularly easy to update, with built-in analytics and order fulfilment.
The current site is designed as a 'stepping stone'. We are working with the clinet to scale up the site to a larger and even more powerful ecommerce platform, with the aim of growing the online side of the business dramatically. We have also created graphics and promotional materials to reflect the new brand identity. We are working with the client on their social media and SEO strategy.
